Here are the five sentences about Korea Republic or South Korea.

1. South Korean flag has its own name called 'Taegukgi'.
2. The four trigrams on each corner of the flag represents the four seasons in the country or the four directions, east, west, north and south which is all about balance.
3. Such flag was firstly used as a national flag by Joseon dynasty of Korean Empire back in 1883.
4. South Korea decided to use Taegukgi as their national flag when it gained their independence in August, 15, 1945.
5. The colours in the flag represent the peace and purity for the white and the blue-red Yin and Yang represents the balance.
